Rajkot Municipal Corporation’s standing committee meeting was held on Wednesday in which 43 proposals with a cost of 154 crores have been approved. In which 17 crore rupees will be spent only for sewerage in new areas. Vardhamannagar D.P. in Ward No.1 of the city. It was decided to lay a drainage network in both the north and south direction of the road to benefit the area for which two tenders were issued. One tender has been approved for Rs 9.66 crore and another tender for Rs 8.08 crore. Apart from laying drainage line network, road repairing work is also included in this work.

While as an experiment of a road that can survive even in rain, a white topping will be put on the Bhavnagar road near the East Zone Office at a cost of 1 crore, if this road survives the monsoon, then in the future, the trouble of the citizens caused by potholes and the cost of the municipality will be saved. Manpa is constructing a canal on Dastur Marg and in order to get the work done as quickly as possible, the Railways was sanctioned an expenditure of 2.79 crores for the construction of the canal in this meeting itself.

1010 such dwellings will be created in Poptapara
FP in Popatpara under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. 119 crores for construction of 1010 dwellings in plots 12A and 12B has been sanctioned in the standing. The housing will be from 2BHK which is the most successful scheme.
