Telangana: Inter classes from June 1, 77 holidays for junior colleges in Telangana | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has released the 2023 academic calendar with classes scheduled to start from June 1.
The Board has planned 227 working days and 77 vacation/off days. Junior colleges were mandated to have at least 220 working days in the next academic year.
BIE officials on Saturday informed that all junior colleges should have summer vacation from April 1 to May 31.
Post that, Dasara holidays would be between October 19 and October 25.
Half-yearly examinations would be a month later in November from 20 to 25 and Sankranti holidays between January 13, 2024 and January 16.
“Apart from the vacation, all Sundays and festival days, declared by the Telangana government, should strictly be observed as holidays. Any deviation will be viewed seriously,” BIE said in a statement.
The officials further clarified that advanced supplementary for this year would be held in the last week of May. Schedule of it would be released shortly, it added.
