M’luru Cops Nab 8 Absconding Accused | Mangaluru News

Mangaluru: The city police have arrested eight persons in the last three days, who were allegedly involved in several cases, and were absconding. City police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain, said the arrested accused include Raja alias Japan Manga alias Rohan Reddy, Prakash Shetty, Nissar Hussain and Kabir, alias Abdul Kabir alias Kabbi.
He said Raja was involved in several cases. A resident of Kavoor, CCB sleuths picked him up from Bengaluru. He is an accused in the murder case of bus driver Prasanna, reported in 2012 at the Mangaluru Rural police limits, assault in jail, attempt to murder case and so on. An LPC warrant was issued against him, and he has been handed over to the Mangaluru East police station.
Police said he had changed his name to Rohan Reddy in Bengaluru, and created fake documents to obtain an Aadhaar number and sim card. He was involved in an assault case in Chamarajpet in Bengaluru last year, and had also assaulted police.
Prakash Shetty from Kodakkal in Kannur was arrested on Tuesday. He was involved in more than four cases, including two each in Barke and Kankanady police stations. He has been absconding for the past two years. Similarly, the police also arrested Nissar Hussain of Krishnapura in Surathkal. He is an accused in more than five cases. Kabir from Kasba Bengre is an accused in eight cases registered in various police stations, and was arrested on Monday. TNN
