Rajkot: A 22-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poison when he went to offer prayers with his wife in Barvan village near Kuvadva in Rajkot district. According to the police, a small dispute with his wife made the man take the drastic step.
Deceased Naran Talavadiya went to the temple with wife and asked her to stand at a place and wait till he returned after some time. He went a few metres away and allegedly consumed poison.
When he did not return, his wife searched for him and found him unconscious along with the bottle of poison. She immediately informed the family members who rushed him to the civil hospital where he was declared dead. The woman told the police that they got married a year ago and that she wanted to live in Rajkot, while her husband wanted to live in the village. This escalated into a dispute between them which finally ended in the man killing himself.
