Delhi Traffic restrictions ahead of Kisan mahapanchayat rally at Ramlila Ground | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: The traffic will be affected in Central, North and New Delhi districts of the city due to the Kisan Rally scheduled to be held at Ramlila Ground, police said on Sunday.

As per the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, around 25,000 participants are expected to start their journey towards the Ramlila Ground early on Monday.
“In view of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha’s rally at Ramlila Ground,…commuters and motorists are advised to avoid roads around the Ramlila Ground, especially JLN Marg from Delhi Gate to Ajmeri Gate Chowk,” Delhi Traffic Police tweeted.

An official said that the diversion points will be Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Marg, Mirdard Chowk, Delhi Gate, JLN Marg, Minto Road, Kamla Market to Hamdard Chowk.
“Traffic restrictions or diversions may be imposed from 9am on Ranjeet Singh flyover from Barakhambha Road to Guru Nanak Chowk, from Minto Road to Kamla Market.,Vivekanand Marg, JLN Marg ( Delhi gate to Guru Nanak Chowk), Kamla Market to Guru Nanak Chowk, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate towards Asaf Ali Road, Paharganj Chowk and Jhandewalan, Desh Bandhu Gupta Road to Ajmeri Gate.”
“The commuters going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, and ISBT should leave before time to deal with possible delays on the route,” the officer said.
