A procession has been organized in Himmatnagar, Prantij, Poshina, Idar, KhedBrahma, Idar on the occasion of Ram Navami celebrations in Sabarkantha district on Thursday. A flag march was held by SRP personnel, local police. Flag marches were held from various areas including Mahaveer Nagar, Chaparia, Ramji Mandir area, Mehtapura and Tower Chowk in Himmatnagar city.

In connection with the festival of Ramnavami, different Hindu organizations, organizers and leaders in different cities, villages in the district have organized a large number of processions on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri Ram Bhagwan. A flag march was conducted by the police in various areas regarding this. A tight police presence has been deployed to maintain the law and order situation. And surveillance of the entire area is being done with the help of CCTV cameras and drone cameras.

800 police, 2 companies SRP, 800 home guards and 250 GRD, 28 PSI, 8 PI, 3 DySP, 1 SP will be on duty in the district. 350 Police, SRP Company 1, 7 PI, 15 PSI including 2 DySP will be on duty in Himmatnagar city. From Himmatnagar’s Chhaparia Ramji Temple, a grand procession took place on various routes of the city for a distance of 3.3 km. A long procession will arrive at Mehtapura Ramji Temple. District Police has arranged 8 CCTV cameras in Chaparia Kasba area.

After the incident of mishap during Ramnavami procession last year, live monitoring through CCTV cameras will be done by Netram branch with tight security by police to prevent any untoward incident this year. So, continuous monitoring is being done on social media by cyber cell. Not to share hurtful texts or videos, the police department has also made a plate with these instructions viral on social media.

A grand procession of Lord Shri Ram will be held from Ramji Mandir in Idar city in Wadali. In which a large number of future devotees will join the procession on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram and the Ram Navami procession will be held from Ramji Mandir in the city via Main Bazar, Triranga Circle and Tower Chowk route. Then, to prevent any untoward incident in the city and to maintain law and order, a flag march was organized by the police in different areas of the city. In which Eider DySP, Eider PI, PSI, two squads of SRP, Home Guard personnel joined.
