BENGALURU: A 27-year-old homemaker and mother of three minor children was arrested and 13kg of ganja worth around Rs 27 lakh recovered from her. Police said the accused is Nazma M and her husband Muzamil was arrested a fortnight ago on similar charges.
In her statement to police, Nazma said she was directed by Muzamil to sell drugs even after this arrest. The couple, residents of JJ Nagar, has two sons and a daughter, cops said.
“My husband had given me the contact numbers of key drug peddlers in Vishakhapatnam. Accordingly, I went there with my three children by bus and collected a consignment of ganja from them,” a police officer quoted Nazma as saying.
Cops said she packed the ganja in four backpacks and was supposed to hand them to a person at Kalasipalya. But a police team caught her before she could do that.
